What We Believe
First Baptist Church of Media believes the Bible to be the Word of the living God, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We rejoice to testify to the truth of the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His vicarious death for sinful humanity, the efficacy of His shed blood, His bodily resurrection and ascension, His present ministry as intercessor and Advocate, and His personal, premillennial return for His own.
We are an independent Baptist church. As followers of Jesus, we are a part of the body of Christ, a local expression of the worldwide spiritual family of God. We are otherwise unaffiliated with any other denominational office or organization. Our support comes solely from the members of our local congregation.

What We Are Doing
The First Baptist Church of Media is dedicated to glorifying God by sharing His gospel of love and hope with the world, helping each other live out our faith in a manner worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. In accordance with Christ’s command, we believe God has called us to reach out to the lost and hurting both within and outside the church, teaching and encouraging in ways of the Lord.
We aim to outwardly glorify God by sharing the gospel, growing disciples, and constantly reflecting God’s love wherever we are as one, in obedience to His Word.

Our Leadership
Pastor Bob Beverly
Pastor Bob Beverly has been at First Baptist Church of Media since October, 1998. He is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College (BA in Bible/Pastoral), Liberty University (MRE /Counseling), and Cairn University (MDiv).
Pastor Bob and his wife, Jayne, have 4 children and 13 grandchildren. His hobbies include motorcycle riding, hiking, hunting, and visiting auto shows.
